Two of our CIEE Summer Interns - and study abroad alumnae - Chrystine Muncherian and Cynthia Liang, were featured this week in the Maine blog PortlandNow!

At a local event for professionals of Portland's creative community, Chrystine and Cynthia (who work, respectively, in marketing and web design) shared thoughts on their new host city, and their experience at CIEE. They also had a cool portrait done as cartoons (see above).

Summer in Maine Internship Dinner

CIEE stars!

Last Tuesday, CIEE Alumni Interns and Summer Work and Travel students celebrated with top executives from across the state at a networking dinner hosted by the Libra Foundation. The interns and students at this dinner are all part of the Foundation’s Summer in Maine program, which seeks to promote internship opportunities and create a network of interns with the hope that students will gain the experience, connections, and desire to find a job in Maine after graduation.

This summer, 150 young professionals from across the country are interning at more than a dozen prominent Maine businesses, including Idexx, L.L. Bean, Gulf of Maine Laboratories, and of course, CIEE!

In addition to providing career-specific experience in a field of each student’s interest, the Libra Foundation also provides a series of networking opportunities, like this dinner, to help interns make professional and personal contacts, and to get them exploring all the state has to offer.
