University of Rhode Island Presidential Delegation Visits Chinese Flagship Students at CIEE in Shanghai
On Saturday, July 16, 2011, a delegation from the University of Rhode Island, including Dr. David M. Dooley, President; Dr. Donald H. DeHayes, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Raymond M. Wright, Dean of the College of Engineering; and Dr. Wayne Wenchao He, Professor of Chinese in the Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literature and Director of the URI Chinese Language Flagship Program, visited the Summer Accelerated Chinese Language program at the CIEE Study Center in Shanghai.
This CIEE program was approved by the nine members of the Language Flagship Chinese Council in summer 2010. Nine students from the URI Chinese Language Flagship Program and one student from the University of Oregon Chinese Language Flagship Program are studying accelerated Chinese with CIEE in Shanghai this summer.
